Capturing The Sunset Over A Soybean Field in Wisconsin
This is the view of a neighbor’s soybean field, as painted from the top floor window of my parent’s old house in New Franken, Wisconsin.
The paintings are presented chronologically to highlight the changing beauty of the seasons. This work was completed at a leisurely pace over the course of about one and a half years, beginning in 2017.
Materials used include watercolor, gauche, iridescent powdered pigments, cups, cold press paper, artist tape, various sponges, paper towels, makeup brushes, salt, paint brushes, seasons, trees, soybeans, weather, water, and an antique serving platter.
